When the restaurant filled up at lunch, the teamwork was amazing. We were served are drinks quickly, the order was submitted to the kitchen and the food came quickly. The food came quick and their dessert is homemade. All of our food was hot, homemade, and delicious. We will return.

Barrel burger definitely one of the best burgers I've eaten.

We came here for a friends Rehearsal Dinner. The staff was wonderful, and food was amazing. Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had.

Today our volunteer rescue squad gathered for our annual "After Christmas Gathering" at The Pickle Barrel.There were over 20+ members who attended. The food choices were perfect for our group of folks:Fried chicken Roast beef GravyMashed potatoes Corn pudding Macaroni and cheese Rolls and butterIced tea/coffee Chocolate cake Banana puddingThe private dining area was tastefully decorated.The servers were terrific! We hope to come back next year.

The place was packed but in about 5 minutes, we were seated and had our drink orders placed. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Overall a great experience. We will definitely go back again!

Awesome spoon bread. Food. Amazing

I had the fried chicken, spoon bread, and baked beans. SO had limas, green beans, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes and gravy. Shared the chicken, and sampled all of the sides. Add a tall Stone IPA, and a ginger ale - call it a supper done well. Attentive staff, good portions, tasty food. 10/10 - will visit again.

Always great!! The staff is wonderful.....super friendly! I've eaten there several times and the food was delicious. They were a sponsor of our poker run. They were really helpful and accomodating.I highly recommend The Pickel Barrel!!

First time there, myself and a co-worker were looking for a place to go for breakfast, best choice we coulda made. Everyone was friendly and they even let us in before they were open. The food was delicious and tasted wonderful. Would recommend to anyone wanting home cooked meals to go try it, it's great!!

Great place west of Short Pump to grab a bite. Fast service and friendly staff.

Stopped in on an impulse and glad we did lunch was excellent, fresh yeast rolls. My pork ribeye was great and my wife enjoyed her burger. Prices are more than reasonable. We will return.

A really nice place to eat, really excellent food! Everyone we encountered was so pleasant! The hot rolls are indescribably delicious! Such a great variety of choices on the menu, plus weekend specials! We had a family party & they accommodated us very nicely. I'm looking forward to going back again!

Beer was warm. Food was bland. Service was slow. Fox News propaganda on the only television at the bar. I won't be back.

Great service and amazing prices. Mom had an issue with the food and they replace it immediately with something else, and didn't charge us. We gave the cost of both meals as tip.

We found this restaurant by accident and are so glad we did! Great food, service, price...we recommend this place to everyone !! UPDATE:Pickel Barrel is open for outside eating with a large covered seating area.We ate lunch on May 18. The price, food and service are as great as ever! Go and have an awesome meal😄

Good food....good service and the best rolls ever!

We've eaten here about 10 times. Always delicious, with friendly staff. Very reasonable prices too. All homemade food. Wife loves the hamburger steak and onions. Best fried okra I've ever had. All this, is why we keep coming back! ❤️❤️❤️

I got the Philly cheese steak sandwich and my wife got the chicken filet sandwich with macaroni and cheese and hush puppies. Chicken was super juicy bun was perfect. Mac and cheese was excellent. Hush puppies were average I probably wouldn’t get again. Philly cheese steak was excellent and exactly as expected. Food came out SUPER fast which was great because we were starving. Classic country themed restaurant lots of animals on the walls. Waiter was 10/10 friendly and helpful. Coconut custard pie was also great.

This place had good food and a casual atmosphere. Went for breakfast and it was extremely affordable (kids were under $5 each). Was a short drive from short pump.

I have been here twice & have left happy both times. The food is good, the prices are very reasonable and they give you a lot of food. If you leave hungry it's your fault. I am surprised by the people who say the service is not good. Both times I have been there were multiple waitresses stopping by the table. We definitely will eat here again and have been telling others about it.

Good Southern eats with a fun atmosphere. The good is just alright overall but some the appetizers and sides are excellent- onion rings fried pickles, spoon bread, mac and cheese. I personally had a bad experience with a botched reservation but I don't think there is any reason to expect that consistently. While there are many friendly, smiling faces, some aspects of servoce could be improved.
